INGREDIENTS:

Coriander seeds /dhania – 2 tbsp
Khus-khus – 1tbsp
Dry red chillies /varamilaga – 9-10
Marati mokku /capers – 1 small
pattai/cinnamon – 1/2 inch small bit
Jadipathiri/mace – 1 very tiny bit
Lavangam/cloves – 3-4
Kadala paruppu/bengal gram – 1 tbsp
Uluntham paruppu/urad dal – 1tbsp
Dry coconut/Kopra thengai(powder) – 4-5 tbsp
Mustard seeds/kadugu – 1/2 tbsp
Oil – 1 tbsp

METHOD:

1.First dry roast copra thengai without any oil till lightly golden and set aside.
2.Then in the same kadai add oil and fry both dals then add mustard and khus-khus.
3.Add coriander seeds and fry.
4.Then marati mokku,cinnamon,cloves,mace and red chillies.
5.Fry all these till golden,when cooled,grind to a coarse powder.
6.Lastly add coconut and whisk once.
7.Its now ready to use for Bisebele bath.

  • Uluntham paruppu/urad dal - 1tbsp
  • Dry coconut/Kopra thengai powder - 4-5 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds/kadugu - 1/2 tbsp
  • Oil - 1 tbsp

Instructions
 

  • First dry roast copra thengai without any oil till lightly golden and set aside.

Notes

Grind coarsely only.
Can store in airtight container even for a month.
Add chillies according to your spice need.
