INGREDIENTS:
Readymade rice flour – 1 cup/
Pottukadalai maavu/roasted gram flour – 1/2 cup
Seeragam/cumin – 1 tsp
Asafoetida/hing – 1/2 tsp
Salt as per need
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Butter(unsalted) – 1 tbsp
Oil to fry

METHOD:

1.Take a mixing bowl with rice flour, roasted gram flour, salt,hing, chilli powder and jeera.
2.Mix well add butter and mix well till crumbly.
3.Add needed Water to form a pliable dough.
4.Now heat up oil and fill dough in murukku mould.

5.Squeeze into backside of the laddle then gently drop into hot oil.

Notes

  • When squeezing out into the oil the heat should be high(hot enough)then reduce the flame(medium high not too low) for even crisp cooking.
  • If you cook it in high heat for all the time then the murukku will not be crisp.
  • Dough consistency should be correct otherwise whole thing will be spoiled.
