Because this bombay veg grilled sandwich recipe is no hard recipe to do and no rare ingredients to put in. For the preparatory part you should have your veggies sliced and some boiled potatoes with some green chutney ready then its all the assembling part. Can even add some sliced capsicum if you like the taste. Very comforting and on the go filling

delight with some fresh veggies going into your tummy. All the ingredients will be available at home if at all some cheese slices and bread have to be bought. Its not needed to cut the corners of the bread I love to have it as it is its very good. You can even make some garlic or tomato chutney along with green chutney and apply alternatively for different taste. If you don’t have cheese slices can use even some processed cheese cubes. You can use any type of bread for making this bombay veg grilled sandwich recipe.

INGREDIENTS:

Sandwich bread – 4 big slices
Tomatoes sliced from – 2
Onions sliced from ( big) – 1
Boiled potatoes sliced – 2
Some chaatmasala,salt and pepper powder to sprinkle on veggies
Cheese slices -8(or as needed)
Butter to smear on bread and for toasting

For green chutney :

Coriander leaves – a handful
Mint leaves – a handful
Salt to taste
Chaat masala powder – 1-2 tsp
Greenchillies -2
Jeera – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp(optional)

METHOD:

1.Grind all the ingredients given for greenchutney and make a paste in a mixer jar, its optional to add lemon juice at the end and mix.

2.Take a pair of bread slice,smear butter on insides of the bread, then spread chutney on both the sides.

3.Add the cheese slices on both sides, keep potatoes and sprinkle some salt and pepper.

4.Then arrange tomatoes on it sprinkle some chatmasala.
5.On this arrange onion, sprinkle salt and pepper, then close with the other side.

6.In-between heat a grill toaster apply butter on the side you are going to keep down, place it on the hot grill, then apply butter on the outer side and close the lid  grill and toast till golden.
7.Take out slice and enjoy.

Notes

I have not removed the sides of the bread, you can slice off and use.
The slices for veggies should be moderately thin not thick.
If you don’t have toaster make it on a dosa tava.
You can use any bread type you wish.
