INGREDIENTS:

Kokum(tamarind variation) – 8-9 pieces
Grated coconut – 1 cup
coriander leaves for garnish

To grind :

Green chillies – 1
Garlic – 1-2
Salt needed for kadhi

METHOD:

1.Soak kokum in warm water for 30minutes or till soft.
2.Squeeze and filter,keep the extract.
3.Take coconut milk by adding water in a mixer grinder.
4.I got11/4 cups of milk in total.
5.Grind green-chillies, garlic with some needed salt to a paste.
6.Add this paste to coconut milk and check for salt,if needed add.
7.Now mix this with kokum juice.
8.Check for tanginess,add chopped coriander.
9.Sol kadhi is ready.

Instructions
 

  • Soak kokum in warm water for 30minutes or till soft.
  • Squeeze and filter,keep the extract.
  • Take coconut milk by adding water in a mixer grinder.
  • I took 11/4 cups of milk in total.
  • Grind green chillies, garlic with some needed salt to a paste.
  • Add this paste to coconut milk and check for salt,if needed add.
  • Now mix this with kokum juice.
  • Check for tanginess,add chopped coriander.
  • Sol kadhi is ready.

Notes

Check for tanginess and add accordingly to your taste.
You can chill for some time if you want and then have it.
Keep coconut milk decently thick not too thin.
