chikoo milk shake /sapota(chiku)milkshakeIts termed as mud apple because of its sandy brown colour!here it is commonly called as chikoo in India and in South India we call it sapota fruit(TamilNadu)I usually buy sapota/chikoo unripe as it will be all set to have nice firm ripened fruit the next day.While selecting the fruit go for oval-shaped fruit without any wrinkles and should be of even colour without any discoloration outside(should not be greenish and without blemishes)!chikoo milk shake /sapota(chiku)milkshakeby this you will enjoy a perfect ripened fruit the next day itself(this is the small tip I follow and am sharing with you) and scoop out the flesh with a sharp spoon without any wastage leaving behind the skin and seeds. Generally milk shakes are easy to do tasty summer drink!as they are deliciously healthy!kids love this drink. All the fruit milkshakes are equally yummy and chikoo milkshake is one in the list.We will now enjoy making this simple summer drink.

INGREDIENTS:

Chikoo/sapota/mud apple – 2 cups(skinned out without seeds)
Sugar as per taste
Milk – 500 ml(boiled and chilled in fridge)

METHOD:

1.Add sapota in a blender/mixer add needed sugar and little milk and beat well.
2.Then add remaining milk and beat well.
3.Chikoo milk shake is ready.
4.Serve chilled.

  • Chikoo/sapota - 2 cups skinned out without seeds
  • Sugar as per taste
  • Milk - 500 ml boiled and chilled in fridge

Instructions
 

  • Add sapota in a blender/mixer add needed sugar and little milk and beat well.
  • Then add remaining milk and beat well.
  • Chikoo milk shake is ready.
  • Serve chilled.

Notes

Icecream(vanilla)can be added for more taste,richness and creaminess.
But it is not necessary because it tastes great as such.
You can add sugar according to your taste(so I have not given the exact amount).
