grape syrup recipe /grape squashIn my city the summer has begun so intense that scorching sun has no concern on any life forms!the temperature has crossed above 106 degrees already!sucking away all the energy making people exhausted and tired.In-order to escape and protect our-selves  from the penetrating heat it is so critical that we take lots of liquids in our diet.grape syrup recipe /grape squashThere are huge diversified variations of cool drinks that can be made!fruit squashes are one such concentrates that can be prepared well in advance,refrigerated and enjoyed all through summer.Really loved the colour of the black grapes squash! it is so intense and attractive drink to have this summer.Black grapes with seeds have a special taste sweeter than the seedless grapes and black grape squashes are super delicious.This squash can be preserved for longer days by adding sodium benzoate but I have not added because I had no idea of storing it for longer days(just to refrigerate for ten days or so ).

INGREDIENTS:
For making squash:

Black grapes with seeds – 1 kg
Sugar – 3/4 kg
Citric acid – 1 tbsp +1 tsp
Water for grapes 3/4 cup
Water for sugar – 1 cup

For making juice:

Needed ice-cubes
Needed water
Grapes squash as needed to mix.

METHOD:
For making squash:

1.Wash the grapes and boil with water for some 15 minutes and mash with a wooden masher.
2.Mash nicely and filter the content and again bring it to boil.
3.Let it boil for 5-10 minutes.
4.Then again strain it.
5.In between keep water boiling add sugar and citric acid and let it boil for some time(20 minutes).
6.Then filter the content(sugar syrup) and add to the grape juice,mix well and once-more filter it.
7.Let it cool and store.

For making juice:

Add required syrup to a glass,add ice cubes and water mix and enjoy.

Ingredients

  • Needed icecubes
  • Needed water
  • Grapes squash as needed to mix.

Instructions

    For making sha:
  1. Wash the grapes and boil with water for some 15 minutes and mash with a wooden masher.
  2. Mash nicely and filter the content and again bring it to boil.
  3. Let it boil for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Then again strain it.
  5. In between keep water boiling add sugar and citric acid and let it boil for some time(20 minutes).
  6. Then filter the content(sugar syrup) and add to the grape juice,mix well.
  7. Filter it once again.
  8. Let it cool and store.
    For making juice:
  1. Add required syrup to a glass,add icecubes and water mix and enjoy.

Notes

I have not added sodium benzoate if necessary you can add. Store it in sterilized bottles in fridge. I have filtered grape juice two times to get clear extract.
