It may be called as soya chunks or meal maker whatever it may be its filled with full of protein. Obviously its a needed ingredient to be added to our diet as some survey says its a great ingredient for weight loss. Actually its a great replacement to any non vegetarian biriyanis I would say by look, texture and feel. This meal maker biryani recipe is such a wonderful tasty dish that its not at all tough to make its all like doing any other type of biriyani. Many people may have an aversion to the smell but its not at all a matter if you boil well and squeeze well it will become perfect. But I must say some people equally love to have this soya chunks like me even though its bland later it imbibes all the flavours from the masala. To make it to have some taste

you can marinate with spices for some time then continue the process that way it may be flavourful. I have used basmati rice you can use seeraga samba rice. Instead of adding chopped tomatoes I have blend it into a puree. Onions have to become golden before you put any other ingredients into it. Thats the trick to have a perfect biriyani. I have used pressure cooker you use a pot and do it as dum biriyani. Can cook the rice separately then make layers with the cooked masala that way also it will taste great. Do try this meal maker biryani recipe for sure.

Notes

I have used some big ones of soya you can use the smaller ones.
If the soya chunks are of big size just slice it to pieces and do the recipe.
Instead of water you can use coconut milk.
Add spices according to your taste.
Squeeze the soya chunks nicely so that it will not have any soya smell.
I have done it in pressure cooker you can do it in a pot well known as dum method.
Don’t soak basmati rice for longer because when it cooks it becomes mushy.
