how to make jeera biscuits at home /cumin cookies
These jeera biscuits are the trademark Indian bakery style tea time snack fulfilling the exact binge when having tea or coffee. Moreover baking is something that gives me a special feeling of accomplishment that cannot be explained in words.Toasted cumin gives nice nuttiness to these cookies. Once you take a bite into these cumin biscuits the crunchiness and mixed taste of light sweet salt combinations becomes very interesting and enjoyable. These jeera biscuits are very easy to make at home. You can replace half of all purpose flour with wheat or
even all wheat itself and try. Sometimes ghee is also used instead of butter which will also be super good. I have spread the dough into quarter inch thickness for the perfect crispy melt in a mouth biscuits. If you want to make plain biscuits just skip adding jeera. Don’t overload the dough with extra cumin as it will become overpowering. I have reserved some cumin to add after rolling the dough so that it shows off after baking the biscuits.Lets now see how to make jeera biscuits at home.
