Most exciting festival is around the corner its the vinayagar chaturthi and everyone should be busy preparing for the pooja. Some of the important recipes that we do for vinayagar chaturthi are modagam or thenga poorana kozhukattai, paal kozhukattai, ellumittai, kadala mittai and for karam its ulundhu poorana kozhukattai ,ammini kozhukattai. Apart from this we do boondi laddu, coconut laddu, puran poli or paruppu poli and there are still some which I have missed here to share. I was thinking to try fried modak this time but I did not have that much time to plan. This time Iam sharing vella pidi kozhukattai recipe its
very simple to do but one the best sweet dumplings for this vinayagar chaturthi. For me I believe the prasadam need not be complicated at all its all about the purity and dedication of what we do gives us the total happiness. All these years I have a strong belief in this even a single banana will be a great prasadam for the god or goddesses if we do it whole heartedly. The dough stirred should be intact but not sticky so that the end result will be soft and not gooey. I have added extra coconut as per my taste, you can reduce the amount.
