Black Rice / Karuppu Kavuni Rice – 1 cup (200 g)

Jaggery Powder – ¾ cup (150 g)

Grated Coconut – ½ cup (50 g)

Cardamom Powder – 1½ tsp

Salt – a pinch

Ghee – 2 tsp

METHOD:

1.Wash Black Rice 2-3 times.
2.Soak it in enough water for 5-6 hours or overnight.

3.Drain Water Shade Dry For Some time (there should little wetness like some rice sticking to your hands).
4.Grind the soaked and dried rice to a coarse flour.

5.Dry roast the flour in a pan till Wetness goes
away & light.
6.After it cools you can pass through a sieve to prevent lumps.
7.Add Ghee & Cardamom powder then mix.
8.Add A pinch of salt & mix.

9.Sprinkle soaked water little by little and mix.
10.The flour should be moist and crumbly, not sticky.
11.When pressed in your palm, it should hold shape and crumble easily.
12.Transfer the flour to a steamer lined with banana leaf
13.Steam the moistened flour for 10-12 minutes.
14.Once steamed, Transfer to a mixing Bowl.
15.Now Add Jaggery powder Mix.
16.Add Grated Coconut Mix EveryThing Well.
17.Now Its All Ready To Be Served.

    Jaggery Powder - 3/4 cup/ 150gms

    Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup/ 50g

    Cardamom Powder - 11/2 Tsp

    Pinch of salt

    Ghee - 2 Tsp

Method
