INGREDIENTS:
Karuppu ulundhu/whole black gram urad dal – 1 cup
Jaggery powdered – 3/4 cup
Cardamom pods – 6-7
Ghee – 3/4 to 1 cup
Some broken cashews&badam to fry
Cashewnuts – 2 tbsp/20 gm,
Badam – 3 tbsp/30 gm
Sesame seeds(white) – 1/4 cup/35 gm
Roasted bengal gram/pottukadalai – 1/4 cup/30gm
METHOD:
1.Wash & drain ulundhu.
2.Take a kadai, heat up add ulundhu to dry roast nicely till nice aroma is released.
3.Next mildly roast cashews,badam till nicely done.
4.Then sesame seeds with roasted bengal gram dal.
5.Add roasted nuts, sesame seeds &roasted gram with this urad dal and grind to a powder after the dal cools with cardamom pods.
6.Now add the powdered jaggery with this powdered dal mixture and blend in a mixer well till well combined.
7.Take this mixture in a big mixing bowl.
8.Fry some broken cashews&badam in little ghee take out.
9.Heat up the ghee till nicely hot keep ready.
10.Add fried cashews now pour hot ghee little at a time mix and make balls.
11.If you leave the mixture with ghee for some time it will absorb the ghee and will become little dry.
12.So the amount of ghee given will vary according to the requirement.

Notes
- Adjust and add ghee as per need,if the laddu is dry its because of less ghee.
- Perfectly dry roasting the dal makes wonderful ladoo’s.
- If it is not roasted well then rawness of the urad dal will be there.
