Traditional Sweet Kachayam /Sweet Bonda /Best Teatime snack

Ingredients
  

  • Rava /Ravai - 1 cup

    Maida/All purpose flour - 1 cup

    Grated coconut - 1/2 cup

    Sugar - 1 cup

    Cardamom powder - 1 tsp

    Water - 1 cup

    Oil to fry

Method
 

  1. Add three ingredients together mix well.
    2.Add water mix well then baking soda mix well.
    3.Leave the mixture to marinate for 1 hour.
    4.Now add cardamom powder &grated coconut mix well to a consistency as shown.
    5.Pinch off batter & fry at medium heat till golden.
    6.Take out in a tissue paper.
    7.Enjoy a sweet treat upto 1 week.

Notes

  • You can store it for a week
  • Fry them in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  • You can also adjust the sweetness to your preference.
  • Marinate at least for one hour to get a good crispy outside & soft insides.
