How to Make Mango Sago Drink at Home | Easy Summer Drink

Made with juicy mangoes, creamy coconut milk, soft javvarisi (sago pearls), and chilled sabja seeds, this drink is rich, refreshing, and perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients
  

  • Sago/ javvarisi - 1/2 cup /90 gms

    Water to boil sago - 3 cups

    Coconut milk from 1 coconut - 3 cups(yield)/750 gms(approx)

    Water to extract milk - 3 cups

    Condensed milk - 1 cup / 310 gms

    Sabja seeds - 2 tsp

    Water to soak - 1/2 cup

    Pureed mango - 1 cup /260 gms

    Chopped Mangoes - 1/2 cup

Method
 

  1. Wash javarisi 2-3 times then rinse for 30 minutes.
    2.Heat 3 cups water in a pan add drained sago & let it cook till it becomes transparent.
    3.It may take 10-15 minutes to cook.
    4.Now pass it through a sieve immediately pour cold water to stop cooking.
    5.Now soak sabja seeds in 1/2 cup of water for 5 minutes to bloom.
    6.In a mixer jar add coconut with 3 cups water & grind extract milk.
    7.Take a Mixing bowl with coconut milk add 1 Cup mango puree mix well.
    8.Add condensed milk & mix.
    9.Then add soaked sabja seeds & cooked sago pearls mix.
    10.Add chopped mangoes & some ice cubes & serve chilled.

Notes

  • Use sweet ripe mangoes for maximum flavor
  • Chill before serving for best taste
  • Do not overcook the sago pearls
  • Fresh coconut milk makes it extra creamy
