wheat appam recipe /godhumai maavu appam
wheat appam recipe is a kind of easy instant sweet that can be made at any accassion. Especially during this navarathri period you can make it as a special prasadam. Most of us because of calorie consciousness we make it in a paniyaram pan. But I always love to fry it and relish as the way it should be not to loose its original taste and satisfaction. Instead of wheat flour you can use maida or even try with any millet flour it will turn out good. I have not added any mashed banana as they usually add for this wheat unniappam. Some even add some baking soda to get nice fluffy and soft appam. Inspite of not adding soda these come out super soft and yummy. Even for karthigai deepam you can make this special godhumai maavu special sweet. You can use any type of sugar
you like but here I have used jaggery. I added only three fourth cup of jaggery as I did not want my appam to be too sweet. Add more like one cup of jaggery if you wish it to be little sweeter. In addition to cardamom powder you can add some sukku powder for more flavour and taste. Do try this wheat appam recipe /godhumai maavu sweet appam this festive season which is very simple to make and can be made in no time without any fuss.
