Sweet Paniyaram with idli dosa batter /Innipu kuzhu Paniyaram
Sweet paniyaram, also known as sweet appam,is a popular South Indian sweet dish. It is typically made using fermented rice and lentil batter but in this recipe we are making Sweet Paniyaram with idli dosa batter. Paniyaram, also known as paddu or appe, made using a special pan called a paniyaram pan or appe pan. Adding baking soda will help in making the paniyarams more fluffy, but it’s optional.I have made it with wheat flour which gives this Paniyaram a nice taste & texture.Mashed bananas are added for extra fluffiness & taste. The cooking time may vary depending on the size of the paniyarams and the heat of your stovetop. Always cook Paniyaram at medium low flame
to get insides cook well.Do add only ghee for making this sweet paniyaram to get that exact flavour. As we are adding sweet element it tends to fry dark faster so be careful. This Sweet paniyaram can be an excellent sweet or dessert by itself so do try it.
