sweet lime mosambi juice(sathukudi)
It’s a common sight to see sweet-lime juice vendors in streets lined up with thirsty customers quenching their thirst rejoicing every sip just to escape heat and cool themselves.Although its a common simple juice many people are die-hard fan for this rejuvenating drink. While selecting the fruit pick up a ripe yellow fruit without any discoloration it should be smooth in texture and the skin must be thin. The fruit with thick skin will not have more juice and while squeezing the juice don’t squeeze too much. If you rub the skin part with the squeezer then the whole juice will become spoilt and bitter. whenever I make this juice my daughter would help me squeezing as she enjoys making it.Sometimes I peel mosambi’s cut and add chat masala to it I always enjoy eating this way too, sure it gives a satisfaction that we eat a healthy whole fruit.Even-though we eat fruits as a whole or as salads we like to have a chilled tasty juice like this once in a while at-least during scorching summer days.Even chat masala or black salt can be added for more kicky taste here I have added little pinch of salt to elevate the taste.
