This Roasted gram burfi sweet is one of the easy desserts you can make and relish any time. Even beginners can try this as it does not need any sugar consistency. Moreover its an instant sweet which can be done within 10 minutes with no fancy ingredients needed. If you don’t want it to be fudgy then stir in for more time by adding little more ghee. It will become porous then transfer and cut into desired shapes. It keeps good even for 10 days at room temperature. If you don’t want to add nuts at the top mix up while staring itself. Adding ghee makes this more flavourful & delicious. Majority of the people may be like me will like
the taste & texture of roasted gram dal but few may not appreciate its ok. I have added milk powder for more taste and flavour. Do try this Roasted gram burfi sweet for sure.

INGREDIENTS;
Pottukadalai /Roasted gram dal – 1 cup /120 gm
Sugar – 1/2 cup/100gm
Ghee – 1/4 cup/50 gm
Cashews – 2 tbsp/30 gm
Milk – 1/4 cup /60 ml
Cardamom powder -11/2 tsp
Milk powder – 11/2 tbsp/15 gm
METHOD:
1.Grease a pan or any container of your choice with ghee &keep ready.
2.Now take a mixer add gram dal with sugar make a fine powder.
3.Heat up a kadai with ghee add nuts fry till golden take out.
4.In the same ghee keep the flame medium add powdered gram dal fry.
5.Add in cardamom powder & milk powder mix.
6.You can switch off the flame or keep the flame very low.
7.Add milk and mix until it forms a non sticky dough.
8.Transfer to the greased plate spread add nuts press down.
9.Let it cool then cut to desired shapes.

Notes
- It keeps well even for 10 more days.
- Don’t keep the flame high it should be low only to bring the contents together.
- You can avoid or add fried nuts while stirring the burfi itself.
- It may appear little fudgy when it cools it will be good.
