Something very special and magical about this Navarathri festival is that its all about worshiping women goddesses.I personally feel all these nine days are very powerfully divine periods.My friend has invited me for the kollu.She was telling to me earlier that from this year there will be a slight change in the gifts and things she is using.I was little puzzled,then I got know that all the gifts she will give is Eco-friendly.It was a good resolution to use Eco-friendly products in today’s world! its most needed one.I was not aware of this podi to add for sundal till date only my friend gave this tip.It really makes sundal tasty and aromatic.You can store the left over podi in an airtight container and use it for even poriyals that you are making.This rajma sundal south indian /red kidney beans recipe is very easy and apt Navarathri dish

INGREDIENTS:
To roast and grind:
Toor dal/thuvaramparuppu – 2 tsp
Urad dal/Ulundhu – 2 tsp
Red chillies – 2-3
For tadka:
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Some curry leaves
Oil – 1 tsp
Red chillies – 1 (broken)
Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp
Boiled rajma beans – 1 cup(add salt when boiling beans),Grated coconut – 4 tsp
METHOD:
1.Soak rajma beans overnight and boil it nicely with required salt and keep ready.
2.Dry roast the “to roast and grind” ingredients till golden.
3.Grind it coarsely and keep ready.
4.Keep a kadai add oil to heat.
5.Add mustard to splutter then add hing,curry leaves and chillies.
6.Add the boiled beans and stir well.
7.Add only 1 tsp of this powder.
8.Then mix well.
9.Add grated coconut,stir and switch off.

Notes
You can store this podi for future use.
