Same here for this osmania biscuits loved the soft crumbly texture and if we bake it for longer it will become crunchy. If you want it to be crunchy and crisp can bake it
for longer but I loved the short-bread texture of these biscuits more addictive. Got some osmania biscuits from karachi bakery in a general store here and after tasting I was eager to try it. I was searching for the exact recipe and finally got it from here and modified little and came out fantastic.These baked goodies are very easy to make and you will never regret after making it. Adding salt gives a salty sugary treat making it just perfect.These hyderabadi osmania biscuit recipe is very easy to make and do try this for sure.

INGREDIENTS:
All purpose flour/maida – 3/4 cup/100 g
Butter – 60 gm/1/4 cup+1 tbsp
Baking powder – a pinch
Cardamom powder – a pinch
Custard powder – 5 gm /2 tsp
Milk powder – 5 gm /11/2 tsp
Sugar powder – 40gms /1/4 cup
Milk for mixing dough – 1 tbsp
Milk to mix saffron – 1 tbsp
Saffron strands a few
A pinch of salt
METHOD:
1.Prepare the baking tray with parchment paper and keep ready.
2.Mix saffron to warm milk and keep.
3.In one bowl add all the dry ingredients like maida, baking powder, salt, cardamom power, custard powder and milk powder mix them thoroughly and keep.
4.In another bowl cream butter and sugar till light.
5.To this add the dry ingredients and mix till it makes a crumbly texture.
6.Now add milk and make a dough.
7.Take a butter paper flatten the dough and cut into thick rounds and place it in the prepared baking pan.
8.In-between preheat the oven at 180 degrees for ten minutes.
9.Brush the safron milk all over the biscuits.
10.Now bake it for 15 minutes or more than that till done.

- 1 tbsp Milk to mix saffron
Instructions

Notes
This type of biscuits are thick so should be cooked well.
You can grease the butter paper on the baking pan with little butter so that after baking it comes off easily.
