INGREDIENTS:

All purpose flour /maida – 1cup /135 gms
Custard powder(nuetral) – 1/2 cup/30 gms
Milk powder – 10 gm
Baking powder – 3/4 tsp
Mixed fruits/tutti frutti – 1/2 cup/50 gm
Cashew finely chopped – 30gm
Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
Butter(room temperature) – 1/2 cup/80 gm
Powdered sugar – 1/2 cup/85 gm
Pineapple essence – 1/4 tsp
Pinch of salt
Milk – 2 tbsp

METHOD:

1.Sieve maida, custard powder, milk powder, baking powder, salt and cardamom powder mix well and keep ready.
2.Cream butter and sugar till it becomes fluffy and becomes pale.

3.Then add tutti frutti and cashews into this and mix well.
4.Then add flour in portions and mix when all the flour has been put it will look crumbly.
5.Now add 2 tbsps of milk and make a dough.
6.No need to knead the dough shape into log cover with a cling film and refrigerate till its well set say for 1-2 hours.

7.Now take out and cut into slices.
8.In-between preheat the oven at 170 degrees for 10 minutes.
9.Place these biscuits in a butter paper lined pan leaving regular space(1/2 inch).
10.Bake for 15 minutes or till done.
11.When cool take out and enjoy with tea or coffee.

Notes:

1.The oven temperature for various oven differs so bake accordingly.
2.The dough should be well set so that we can slice it easily.
3.Powdered sugar is best for making this biscuits.
4.Instead of pineapple essence you can use vanilla.
5.Using cashews is optional.
