INGREDIENTS:
MATTA RICE/PALAKKADAN RICE – 1 CUP
WATER – 3 CUPS
METHOD:
1. Wash the Matta rice thoroughly under cold running water to remove excess starch. You can rinse it 2-3 times until the water runs clear.
2. Soak Matta rice for about an hour (in cooker itself)will help it cook more evenly and reduce the cooking time.
3. For 1 cup of Matta rice, add 3 cups of water to the pressure cooker. Let it boil now close cooker pressure cook for many whistles (10) switch of let the pressure subside.
4. Open the cooker when pressure subsides fluff & serve.
