- Vazhakkai /Raw banana - 8-9
- Turmeric powder - 3-4 tsp
- salt to taste
- Oil to fry
- Chilli powder to sprinkle(optional)
Wash raw banana wipe the water peel the skin as soon you peel the skin put it in a basin filled with water till use.2.Now mix turmeric and needed salt with water stir well and keep ready.3.Heat up a kadai with oil when its hot slice off the raw banana chips directly over the oil with a help of mandoline slicer.4.Before that you have to wipe off the peeled banana with a towel then slice over the oil.5.After 2 minutes sprinkle the turmeric salt mixture with help of a spoon.6.Keep the flame in medium high fry till crisp without change in colour and transfer to a tissue.7.Repeat the rest in the same way.8.Store it in an airtight container.9.If you like you can sprinkle chilli powder after taking out from the oil
- I usually slice down the chips directly in oil but if you are a beginner you can slice them separately and then add it to oil and fry.
- See to that the chips do not stick to each other when frying in oil.
- If you like you can sprinkle chilli powder after taking out from the oil when still hot.
- Temperature when frying in oil should be correct to get perfect chips each time.
