Method
- Keep ready with all the ingredients.
- Keep a kadai add oil and when it heats up add mustard to splutter.
- Then add dals,curry leaves,green chillies and cashews.
- Let it change colour,add grated ginger too along with it.
- Inbetween boil water in a pan,let it come to rolling boil.
- Add onions and saute till transparent.
- Add tomatoes and turmeric powder required salt for kichadi as a whole.
- Add peas to it sprinkle little water close for 1 minute.
- Open lid add rava and mix well.
- To this add boiling water and stir well.
- Now sim the flame.
- Check for salt if necessary add it.
- Close the lid and leave it for 4-5 minutes.
- Open add lemon juice mix well.
- Switch off add ghee and serve hot with coconut chutney.

Notes
Adding cashew-nuts is optional.
No need to roast rava before adding as it is already roasted.
