Recipe for drumstick leaves soup/murungai ellai soup

Ingredients
  

  • Drumstick leaves murungai keerai - 1/4 cup
  • Corn sweet corn boiled - 3/4 cup
  • Salt as per taste
  • sugar - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Corn flour - 1 3/4tblsp make a paste with water
  • Butter - 11/2 tbsp
  • Pepper powder - 11/2 tsp
  • Fresh cream - 2 tbsp

Instructions
 

  • Blend corn and leaves mixture lightly.(coarsely)
  • Add butter to a pan.
  • Add the ground mixture and saute for 3 minutes.
  • Now add sugar then corn flour mixture and salt as needed.
  • Then let it boil for 4 -5 minutes.
  • After that add cream and switch off the stove.
  • At last add pepper powder and serve.

Notes

Allow the content to boil at least for 4-5 minutes so that the contents are cooked.
Saute the mixture in butter nicely to remove rawness from the leaves.
It is great recipe for kids who hate drumstick leaves.
