- ALL PUPOSE FLOUR /MAIDA - 1 CUP /140 GM
- GRANULATED SUGAR(TO BE POWDERED) - 3/4 CUP/150 GM
- CARDAMOM POWDER - 11/2 TSP
- MILK POWDER - 1/4 CUP/30 GM
- GHEE - 1/2 CUP /100 GM
Grease a suitable tray or plate with ghee.2.Here I have lined it with parchment for easy removal of the sweet after setting.3.Now powder 3/4 cup of granulated sugar to a powder & keep ready.4.Then heat a pan with ghee when its mildly hot add maida to it & stir.5.Keep on stirring at low flame otherwise it will burn.6.At one stage the colour changes slightly & nice aroma is released.7.You can see the ghee oozing out & it loosens.8.Now take out in a broad vessel to cool it completely.9.When it cools add cardamom powder, sugar powder in batches along with milk powder.10.Mix it nicely it will combine & will come together.11.Transfer this to the greased tray and level it to become even.12.You can leave it to rest for 20 -25 minutes then cut to suitable shapes.13.Remove the pieces store it in airtight container & enjoy.14.Soft melt in mouth 90’s kids sweet it all ready.
- Use a sharp knife to cut it into desired shapes. You can cut them into squares, diamonds, or rectangles.
- Make sure to stir continuously to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan and get burnt.
- Roast the flour nicely to get that right texture & taste.
- You can add more sugar if you need but the given amount will be apt.
