how to prepare strawberry jam /fresh homemade strawberry jam

Ingredients
  

  • Fresh strawberries - 3/4 cup chopped and made a rough puree
  • Granulated sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice - 1-2 tsp

Instructions
 

  • Wash strawberries dry them,remove green part and chop them.
  • Make a rough puree of the fruit with chunks in it.
  • Now heat a pan add both strawberries and sugar and let it boil.
  • It liquidizes and cooks at one stage will become thick and glossy.
  • Keep on stirring otherwise it may burn.
  • switch off when the contents gels together.
  • Add lemon juice and mix.
  • Store in sterilized container.

Notes

Sterilize the jar you are storing with hot water before transferring the content.
If the content drops with a delay its the right consistency for a jam.
It can be preserved in fridge for some added days.
