- Ragi flour/ragi maavu - 1 cup
- Coconut grated - 3/4 cup
- Powdered jaggery - 1/3 cup
- Ghee - 1 tbsp(& some for greasing)
- Big pinch of salt
- Cardamom powder - 3/4 tsp
- Water as needed for Puttu making
First take a mixing bowl with ragi powder add salt mix well.2.Sprinkle water in little to make a crumbly texture.3.Now grease a steamer plate with little ghee.4.In that sieve off the ragi mixture without any lumps.5.Place this in a steamer and cook for 10minutes.6.Take out and transfer it to a bowl now add grated coconut, jaggery and ghee.7.Mix well without lumps add cardamom powder and mix well.8.Tasty fluffy puttu ready.
- Ragi should be cooked well otherwise it will cause indigestion.
- I have used organic powder jaggery you can use any type of sugar you like the taste differs accordingly.
