BLACK RICE - 1 CUP
WATER - 21/2 CUPS
Wash rice and soak rice over night.2.In the morning drain rice keep the water.3.In a pressure cooker add 21/2 cups water (this includes drained water).4.Let it boil now add rice stir & close lid with weight.5.Leave it for many whistles.6.Switch off let it cool.7.When pressure is gone open fluff rice & serve.
- Before serving, fluff the rice with a fork to separate the grains and prevent clumping.
- Store any leftover cooked black rice in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally.
- This typically takes about 10 minutes. Avoid quick release as it can affect the texture of the rice.
