eggless walnut crescent cookies / marudhuskitchen

Ingredients
  

  • All purpose flour/maida - 225 gms
  • Unsalted butter - 115 gms
  • Walnuts - 115 gms
  • Castor sugar - 115 gms
  • Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Icing sugar to roll the cookies

Instructions
 

  • Mix salt with the flour mix well and keep.
    2.In a blender grind walnuts then add butter,sugar and vanilla essence and blend well then add flour little at a time.
    3.Blend to form a crumbled flour and if you take the flour and press it should form shapes.
    4.Now make crescent shapes out of it.
    5.In-between preheat oven at 180 for 10 minutes.
    6.Arrange these shapes in a parchment lined baking pan.
    7.After it preheats bake it for 10-15 minutes or till nicely done.
    8.Take out and then coat the biscuits with icing sugar .

Notes

Every oven is different so bake accordingly.
If you have a crescent shaped cutter you can use it or just do it by hand.
I have used icing sugar to coat the cookie but you can use powdered sugar but check for sweetness.
You can rest the cookie a minute or two before rolling it in sugar or can roll after its cool.
But after cooling means it won’t stick that good.
