how to make a dry curry with baby potatoes

Total Time 20 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • Baby potatoes/Small - 1 cup boiled and peeled
  • Big onions - 2 sliced
  • Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  • Curry masala powder - 1tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • ginger garlic paste - 3 tsp
  • Oil - 8 tbsp
  • mustard seeds - 1tsp

Instructions
 

  • First boil the potatoes and peel and keep ready.
  • Keep a kadai add oil and mustard wait till it splutters.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute till rawness goes off.
  • Then add chilli(both),coriander and turmeric powder all in one.
  • After two minutes add sliced onion and little salt for onions to cook.
  • After onions are half done add potatoes and mix well.
  • Added required(check the taste and then add) salt.
  • Now add little water to the mixture to bring it to curry consistency.
  • Now should stir continuously till the oil leaves the sides and the dry small potato curry is ready.

Notes

I have not added curry leaves add it while adding the powders.
You can add more water and switch off as semi gravy if you want.
I have added Kashmiri chilli powder to reduce the spice if you want you can add plain chilli-powder alone but it will be spicy.
I love red color of the masala so i have added Kashmiri chilli powder.
After boiling the potatoes prick the potatoes so that all the flavor's seep through the vegetable.
Cook onions half way so that it come to correct texture when done.
