Wash rice and soak rice over night.2.In the morning drain rice keep the water.3.In a pressure cooker add 21/2 cups water (this includes drained water).4.Let it boil now add rice stir & close lid with weight.5.Leave it for many whistles.6.Switch off let it cool.7.When pressure is gone open fluff rice & serve.
Notes
Before serving, fluff the rice with a fork to separate the grains and prevent clumping.
Store any leftover cooked black rice in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally.
This typically takes about 10 minutes. Avoid quick release as it can affect the texture of the rice.
