Kambu laddu /Bajra til ki laddu/pearl millet laddu

Ingredients
  

  • Bajra/ Kambu maavu - 1/2 cup/80 gm

    Sesame seeds/karuppu ellu - 1/4 cup/40 gm

    Almond/badam - 1/2 cup/80 gm

    Powdered Jaggery/vellam - 3/4 cup/130gm

    Cardamom powder - 2 tsp

    Ghee - 1/4 cup/60 gm

Instructions
 

  • In a pad dry roast badam till nice aroma come out now add sesame seeds & let it pop.
    2.When it cools grind to a coarse powder & keep in a mixing plate.
    3.Now again heat kadai with ghee add kambu powder roast till nice aroma is released & colour changes.
    4.Add this to nut mixture mix well when they become warm add jaggery powder mix& add cardamom powder.
    5.Mix well then make laddu’s.
    6.Store in airtight container & enjoy.

Notes

  • Store the laddus in an airtight container once they have completely cooled down. They stay fresh for a few weeks if stored properly.
  • Taste the mixture before shaping laddus to ensure it's sweet enough. Adjust sweetness by adding more jaggery
  • You can add any nuts you prefer for added texture and taste.
