Wheat flour Sweet bonda / Instant evening snacks

Ingredients
  

  • Godhumai maavu/Wheat flour - 1 cup

    Rava - 1/4 cup

    Jaggery - 1/2 cup

    Cardamom powder - 2 tsp

    Coconut grated - 1/4 cup

    Salt a pinch

    Curd - 1 tbsp

    Baking soda 1/4 tsp

    Oil to fry

Instructions
 

  • First add jaggery with water to the level till jaggery gets immersed boil till jaggery dissolves.
    2.Filter & keep to cool.
    3.In a mixing bowl add wheat flour ,rava, pinch of salt baking soda, grated coconut , curd,cardamom powder mix.
    4.Add jaggery water & make a thick idli batter consistency.
    5.Add more water to bring to the consistency.
    6.Heat a kadai with oil when it heats up pinch off batter.
    7.Fry till golden adjust the flame as required.
    8.Take out in a tissue.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less jaggery according to your preference.
  • Keep the oil at the right temperature to ensure the bondas cook evenly and absorb less oil.
  • Adding grated coconut gives a good taste to this Bonda’s.
  • Instead of wheat flour you can use maida.
