thayir idli /curd idli recipe

This thayir idli is a perfect healthy summer snack time alternative.

Ingredients
  

  • Steamed mini idlis - 1 cup
  • Curd - 1 cup(approximate)
  • Salt to taste
  • Some oma podi

For tadka:

  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
  • Some curry leaves
  • Oil or ghee - 1 tsp

To grind:

  • Cashewnuts - 2 tsp
  • Grated coconut - 1 tbsp
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Milk - 1/4 cup(optional)

Instructions
 

  • Steam idlis with help of mini idli maker and keep them ready and let it cool.
    2.For grinding grind cashews,coconut, green chillies and jeera with milk and make a smooth paste.
    3.In a bowl beat curds nicely and add needed salt add the ground paste to this and mix idli's.
    4.In-between make tadka by heating oil with mustard to splutter, then add hing and some curry leaves.
    5.Add this to the curd idli’s and mix well, serve.

Notes

Chilli powder, cumin powder can be garnished finally but its optional.
Add green chillies according to your spiciness.
Curd should not be sour and amount of curd differs according to your need.
