eggless simple cake/plain vanilla sponge cake(basic)

Total Time 30 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • All purpose flour -70 grams
  • Icing sugar - 2 1/2 tbsp
  • Butter -60 gm
  • Condensed milk - 1/4 cup
  • Milk - 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
  • Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder -1/2 tsp

Instructions
 

  • Keep all ingredients measured and ready(butter should soft but cool,it should not loose its shape).
  • Grease a 5"inch diameter tin with butter and dust with maida then cut butter paper and line it.
  • Pre-heat oven at 180 degree for 10 minutes.
  • First add butter,milk,milkmaid and sugar in same bowl and beat for five minutes.
  • Then add vanilla essence and again beat.
  • Don't worry if it curdles.
  • In-between sift all-purpose flour,baking powder,baking soda together.
  • Add this sifted flour to the wet mix.
  • Don't beat vigorously,mix gently at low speed.
  • Beat only till combined and not to over do it.
  • Then drop it in the baking dish.
  • Tap the mixture to spread evenly.
  • Keep it in a pre-heated oven for minimum 20 minutes.(timing as per my oven)
  • Insert a skewer and when it comes clean cool the cake and make desired decoration or enjoy as it is.

Notes

The time settings are as per my oven nature and it depends from oven to oven.
The given measurements can be doubled as per your need.
When we use a thick pan it takes more time to cook from the inside,so can use a small pan so that it cooks quickly.
Make desired decoration or enjoy as it is.
Even the sides of the pan can be lined with butter paper to avoid burning.
