Water melon the thirst quencher is rich in vitamins,minerals and low in calories.This succulent seasonal fruit has a countless benefits in its lists.It tastes great as it is but I thought of combining with other fruits and find out how it tastes.That’s how I landed in making a smoothie. Let me tell something about smoothies,it is the blended combination of fruits bringing it to a milkshake consistency.Now don’t think that it is a milk shake ,it contains major percentage of fruits unlike a milk shake.This recipe for fruit smoothie needs another important wholesome fruit that is banana.Mushy texture of banana plays a key role by giving its starchiness and creaminess to the smoothie.This should be consumed as fresh as possible because it oxidizes when it is in contact with air for longer time.So the taste and texture changes quickly.This recipe for fruit smoothie needs freezing of fruits for at least four hours.Freezing fruits gives wonderful creaminess to the recipe.Am really eager to try varies combination of fruit smoothies and hope to do so.Its really a refreshing and filling snack by itself and perfect for summer.
INGREDIENTS:
Water melon cubes(1/4cup)(remove seeds)
and banana cubes(3/4cup) to be kept in
freezer for at least 4 hours.
all this to make 1 cup totally.
Curd – 1/2 cup
Honey – 11/2 tbsp
METHOD:
1.Add curd and honey to the blender.
2.Then add fruits.
3.Blend well smoothly.
4.You are done ready to serve.

Notes
Always add liquid first to blend then add frozen fruit.
Because the hardness of the fruit prevent the blender to rotate.
Blender should be very strong when the fruits are more harder.

Congrats on your blog. I happened to find your blog through another blog 🙂 . I like the items listed on your blog. Just had few suggestions.I am new to cooking.I like trying new things. The watermelon smoothy looks really yummy.
But the recipe doesn’t specify how many bananas or watermelons need to be added to prepare 1 or 2 cups of smoothy. Such details can help people like me in trying new things as i find it difficult to try things without right estimate. Thanks once again.

Iam always open to comments and suggestions in my blog and thank you for the same.You can take 3/4 cup cut bananas and 1/4 cup cut water melon and to be more specific i have used 11/4 medium sized bananas for this!It makes nearly 2 cups(approximately).
