This is a recipe for butter biscuits using convection oven. A convection oven uses dry heat for cooking , this method of cooking is called baking . The time taken for baking differs from oven to oven . This recipe for butter biscuits takes less time to make and it tastes just like iyengar bakery biscuits . Instead of getting it in bakery ,we can do it in our home at our own comfort . I have added little cardamom powder in my preparation and it is purely optional . I came to know about this recipe from sum’s cuisine few months ago and gave it a try . It turned out well and I was totally impressed . I thank her for giving me this wonderful recipe . Preheating the oven becomes an important part in baking . Preheat the oven for 10 minutes before baking butter biscuits . We must be careful about the timing because if we miss it the biscuits will be browned . We must be near the oven while baking this biscuits . After baking the standing time is important , must leave it to cool for 10-15 minutes.The beauty about this cookie is that it tastes like butter biscuits , though the preparation does not contain butter . Vanaspathi or any type of cooking oil can be used for this recipe.
