Don’t select fibrous mangoes for preparing this jam. There is no big issue making this mango jam even a beginner or a kid can easily make it in a jiffy. The very specialty of this homemade mango jam is that it needs no pectin. Instead we are adding lemon juice to add tart and preserve it for long. The sugar you are adding will be according to your taste, variety and sweetness of the mango. Lets now make this easy homemade mango jam and enjoy.

INGREDIENTS:
Ripe mangoes puree(any variety) – 11/4 cup(should not be fibrous)
Sugar – 1/2 cup(as per the sweetness of the fruit)
Lemon juice – 1 tsp(adjust accordingly)
METHOD:
1.First grind the chopped mangoes in a mixer jar to a smooth paste.
2.Transfer it to a thick pan or non-stick pan.
Stir for few seconds till it heats up,stir continuously.
4.Now add sugar and stir without interval till it thickens,forming a shiny jam.
5.Now add the lemon juice stir well and switch off the stove.
6.After it cools store in sterilised container.

Notes
It should be preserved in a well sterilized container.
Sugar level should be adjusted according to the sweetness of the mango variety you are using.
Same with lemon juice taste jam and add accordingly to balance tanginess.
