roasted sesame seeds laddu(til/ellu ladoo)
My mind was thoroughly scrutinizing for some easy sweet to make for guests who were about to visit my home at a short notice to invite our family for a function and they informed me that they will be coming in the evening . As I was running out of time to make an instant dessert some ribbon pakoda that I have already made the day before was there for the guests .It was not a real must that I have to prepare a sweet and serve as they were very close relatives of mine and they will not bother if I didn’t serve any,but my mind will not rest in peace if I don’t do anything. Suddenly this sweet recipe came up to my mind that I have noted it down from Sharmi’s passion blog once when I was googling moreover loads of sesame seeds and jaggery was in reserve in my pantry. Now again for the second time I have made it as vinayaga chaturthi is round the corner. You will never find such a less strenuous sweet recipe to make for any festive occasion with nuttiness of sesame seeds. For this even black sesame seeds can be used instead of white but I have not tried it yet.Combination of Jaggery and till/sesame seeds makes it an excellent healthy sweet.Nowadays pure form of clean jaggery cubes are available and it can be used for these kind of sweets.Adding cardamom powder is optional and if not don’t add still it will taste great.
