Ingredients
Black gram dhal/urad - 1/2 cup
Bengal gram/kadala paruppu - 1/2 cup
Salt as needed
Red chillies - 1 cup
Asafoetida/hing - 3/4 tbsp
Garlic - 6-8 cloves
with skin
Few curry leaves
Instructions
Dry roast every thing separately.
While roasting chillies add salt with it.
Garlic can be lightly heated up at the end.
Powder every thing coarsely and store.
Mix with sesame oil and serve.
Notes
Every ingredient should be roasted perfectly to get nice flavorful podi.
It can be ground coarsely or to a fine powder.
