how to make idli podi recipe with garlic

Ingredients
  

  • Black gram dhal/urad - 1/2 cup
  • Bengal gram/kadala paruppu - 1/2 cup
  • Salt as needed
  • Red chillies - 1 cup
  • Asafoetida/hing - 3/4 tbsp
  • Garlic - 6-8 cloves with skin
  • Few curry leaves

Instructions
 

  • Dry roast every thing separately.
  • While roasting chillies add salt with it.
  • Garlic can be lightly heated up at the end.
  • Powder every thing coarsely and store.
  • Mix with sesame oil and serve.

Notes

Every ingredient should be roasted perfectly to get nice flavorful podi.
It can be ground coarsely or to a fine powder.
