Ingredients
Urad dhal - 1cup
Bengal gram dhal - 1cup
Dry chilli's -1 -11/2 cups
sesame seeds - 1/4 cup
salt - as needed
asafoetida - 1 tsp
Instructions
In dry kadai add dhal's separately
and fry till golden brown
fry chilli's and salt with little oil or even without oil.
Fry sesame seeds separately
Add asafoetida and grind the mixture after it cools.
Notes
Homemade podi is great than any other ready made podi's.
Podi tastes great with sesame oil.
This podi becomes handy in timeless situations.
