Take a kadai add oil then add urad dal, channa dal and onions until the dal becomes golden.2.Then add coriander seeds, pepper, cumin and fry nicely.3.Put in the green chillies vadagam and lastly the coconut stir in nicely for a second.4.Switch off the stove and let it cool.5.Transfer to a mixer jar add needed salt grind it thick by adding water.6.The thogayal should be thick mix with hot rice with a dollop of ghee and enjoy.
Notes
Add more chillies if you like. Every thing should be salted well for a nice thogayal. Adding vadagam can be skipped but adding it gives a special flavour. Add a dollop of ghee when mixing with rice.
