sprouted green gram salad recipe /marudhuskitchen

Ingredients
  

  • Green gram dal after sprouting - 1 cup
  • Tomatoes chopped(thick skin alone) -2 tbsp
  • Chopped onion - 2 tbsp
  • Chopped raw mango - 1/4 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Some finely chopped coriander

Instructions
 

  • Soak green gram dal for 8 hours wash and drain put it in a wet muslin cloth and keep closed in a vessel for 2 days you will get nice long sprouts.
    Take these sprouts as needed and steam them in an idli pot for 2 minutes.
    Take out and in-between keep all ingredients ready.
    Take a mixing bowl add sprouts and all the ingredients listed.
    Mix well and serve as it is or chilled.

Notes

If you want to get long sprouts leave it for longer then you get longer sprouts.
The sprouts should be steamed for short time only so that colour and nutrients are intact.
I have not added lemon juice if you want you can add and for more spiciness you can add some chopped green chillies.
The ingredients added can be anything that will go with the salad it may be some chopped cucumber some pomegranate or even boiled potatoes.
