easy homemade mango jam recipe /marudhuskitchen

Ingredients
  

  • Ripe mangoes puree any variety - 11/4 cup(should not be fibrous)
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup as per the sweetness of the fruit
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp adjust accordingly

Instructions
 

  • First grind the chopped mangoes in a mixer jar to a smooth paste.
  • Transfer it to a thick pan or non-stick pan.
  • Stir for few seconds till it heats up,stir continuously.
  • Now add sugar and stir without interval till it thickens,forming a shiny jam.
  • Now add the lemon juice stir well and switch off the stove.
  • After it cools store in sterilized container.

Notes

This Jam can be kept in fridge and lasts up-to a week or so.
It should be preserved in a well sterilized container.
Sugar level should be adjusted according to the sweetness of the mango variety you are using.
Same with lemon juice taste jam and add accordingly to balance tanginess.
