masala puffed rice recipe /kara pori(snacks)

Ingredients
  

  • Pori/puffed rice/murmura - 100gms
  • Red chillies - 4-5 broken to pieces
  • Roasted peanuts -4-5 tbsp
  • Garlic pods with skin - crushed 4-5
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder - 11/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves - some
  • Asafoetida/hing - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 11/2tbsp

Instructions
 

  • Keep every thing ready and heat a kadai with oil.
  • When hot add garlic to become golden then add asfoetida,curry leaves and chillies and saute well.
  • Then add pori/puffed rice,peanuts(roasted)turmeric powder and salt and mix thoroughly in low flame.
  • Mix in-between for 5-8 minutes so that it makes even mixture and color.
  • Switch off when cool transfer to airtight container.

Notes

Best evening snack for tea time.
Add peanuts as roasted and some time puffed rice we buy are salty by itself so check for it. If it is so then don't add salt or add initially for seasoning alone.
