  • Milk -2 liters
  • Sugar - 7-8 tbsp

  • Then add rava to it and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add sugar to it and let the contents cook for some time.
  • Add some of the ghee and stir.
  • Add lemon juice.
  • Stir it continuously.
  • The contents will thicken and add remaining ghee and stir.
  • It will absorb the ghee and cook.
  • When the contents leave the pan add cardamom powder and switch off the stove.
  • To check whether halwa is done when we touch with our hand it should not stick.
  • Transfer it to suitable container and serve.

Notes

I have added lemon juice at a later stage but you can add it before itself.Use a non stick pan so that it will be safe and easy to handle.. You should be near the stove all the time stirring !!otherwise it sticks to the bottom.I have used a heavy bottomed kadai when boiling and a non-sick kadai after it thickens.
