Shrikhand is one of the best sweet festive offerings that are simple to make,but making hung curds takes a little bit of time.The curd should be hung nicely without any water so that we get creamy silky shrikhand.

shrikhand sweet recipe /Indian sweet dish

INGREDIENTS:

Yogurt/curd – 1 cup
Sugar powdered – 5-6 tbsp or according to taste
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
Some saffron strands
Warm milk – 4-5 tbsp
Some chopped badam and pista for garnishing and mixing.

METHOD:
Making hung curd:

1.Take curd in a muslin cloth tie it to some hanging available in kitchen so that all the water drains out.
2.Leave it for 3-4 hours.
3.It will form a nice mass.
4.Take out in a bowl.

 

Making shrikhand:

1.Soak saffron in warm milk.
2.Beat the curd nicely and add cardamom powder and sugar beat smoothly with a whisk.
3.Then add saffron with milk and beat nicely add chopped nuts and combine.
4.keep in fridge and serve chilled(keep in fridge for couple of hours before serving).

Notes

You can store in fridge even for a week and enjoy.
If you don't have homemade curd you can use the store bought one.
Adjust the sugar proportions according to your taste.
The curd should be hung nicely without any water so that we get creamy silky shrikhand.
