chocolate biscuit fridge cake /cake without bakewhen I was googling I came across a cake called “tiffin/fridge cake”which is a cake like dessert that does not need any kind of baking!!the term tiffin was set by the cadbury company!it comes under diary milk range(as referred by wikipedia).I thought it will be apt trying it for this season(christmas)!was totally amazed and eager to try it because it is unlike other cakes.cake without bake/chocolate biscuit fridge cakewhen I finally made this chocolate biscuit fridge cake I was puffed up with satisfaction!!it needs just mixing and a few hours of refrigeration that’s it.It can be a pleasing party dessert,its crunchy,chocolatey and crowd appealing.I have used demerara sugar you can use even honey or white sugar. It’s totally effortless cake without bake using biscuits and chocolates and will be a big hit among kids.

INGREDIENTS:

Digestive biscuits – 18(bigger one in Britannia)
Chopped dark chocolate – 250 gms
Demerara sugar or white sugar – 2-21/2 tbsp (powdered coarsely)
Butter – 5-6 tbsp
Vanilla essence – few drops,Some colored sprinkles to decorate(optional)

Double boiling:

1.For this keep a vessel of boiling water over it place another vessel that it fits with the bottom without gap.
2.In the upper vessel place butter and chocolate to melt.

METHOD:

1.Break and crush the biscuits with bigger chunks left(crush it coarsely not to be fine powder).
2.Then melt butter and chocolates in a double boiler and let it melt stirring in-between.
3.Grease a tray with butter paper and keep ready.
4.When it melts add vanilla essence,sugar to it and mix nicely.
5.Add the crushed biscuits and mix.
6.Transfer it to suitable-container and add sprinkles over it cover it with cling film to set it in fridge for 4 hours and cut to desired shapes and enjoy.

DID SOME CONES WITH THIS MIXTURE FOR FUN(OPTIONAL):

1.Make cones with butter paper and place it in the steel cones.
2.Then drop the mixture into it and set it in fridge.
3.After it sets remove the paper and serve.

Notes

I have used demerara sugar you can use even honey or white sugar.
I have used bigger variety of digestives that comes from Britannia.
It has to sit in fridge at-least for 3-4 hours.
The shape of the cake depends on the container you are using,can use even a muffin mould.
