oats and raisins cookies /eggless oats cookie
Even though we use butter for this “cookie” we can justify that it is a “kind of” healthy oats and raisins cookies for the reason that only minimal quantity has been used compared to other types of cookies.The demerara sugar/brown sugar used for this oats and raisins cookies has low-calorie value than the usual white sugar.My son actually shared it with his school friends!am happy that he gave me a feedback that they too liked these cookies.If we decide to add more butter then it becomes a soft melt in a mouth type of “short bread“y texture,but these oats and raisins cookies are crispy!!brittle in its texture!mildly chewy too..Should be baked for good “19-20 minutes” but as I should say the baking time always varies from oven to oven. For fail-proof results always check cookies then and there when you are baking so that you will not miss the timing .Now lets see how to make oats and raisins cookies.
oats and raisins cookies/eggless oats cookie
Oats – 3/4 cup
All purpose flour – 1/4 cup
Baking powder -1/2 tsp
Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
Demerara sugar/brown sugar -1/4 cup(powder it)
Butter – 11/4 tbsp
Vanilla essence – few drops
Milk as needed to form a dough.
1.In a bowl add all-purpose flour,oats,baking powder,soda.
2.Add raisins and mix well.
3.In another bowl add powdered sugar,essence and butter and beat till it is frothy(5 minutes).
4.Add this wet ingredient to the oats mixture and now it crumbles.
5.Add needed milk to it to form a dough.
6.Now pre-heat oven at 180 degree for 7 minutes.
7.Roll out the dough on a butter paper.
8.Make desired shapes.
9.Put it in a butter paper lined tray and bake for 20 minutes.
10.When it cools store it.
