This mixed fruit custard is a common Indian egg-less dessert that is creamy and highly delicious with an abundance of health benefits in it.If you want your custard to be more healthy can add honey instead of sugar even low-fat milk like soya milk can be used!when adding fruits the custard should be completely chilled.

mixed fruit custard  (eggless)

INGREDIENTS:

Milk – 250 ml +50 ml for mixing custard powder
Custard powder(vanilla) – 1 tbsp
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Mixed fruits like apple,sapota,pomegranate,green-grapes – 1 cup
Few slices of banana(optional)
Vanilla essence – few drops

METHOD:

1.Take 50 ml of milk in a bowl add custard powder to it mix without lumps and set aside.
2.Now boil milk in a pan when it starts boiling take out from flame mix this custard mixture slowly,then add sugar to it and again bring to boil.
3.Stir carefully without lumps and let it boil for some more minutes till it thickens and looks like a cream.
4.Now add vanilla essence mix and switch off the stove.
5.When it cools keep it in fridge for an hour or two.
6.In-between cut apples without skin and in same way for sapota(can keep apples in cold water to avoid discoloration).
7.Take out the custard mixture beat well till smooth then add this to fruit mix  and some banana slices ,can keep in fridge for some more time and serve.

Notes

If you like your fruit custard to be more crunchy add some nuts of your choice.
If you want your custard to be more healthy can add honey instead of sugar and even low fat milk can be used.
when adding fruits the custard should be completely chilled.
I have added banana slices at last but its purely optional.
